This work was made using a traditional relief block printing method

I carve my design into the block’s surface, one block for each color. The block is inked and printed each color separately to develop the complete image

The image came from a remembered fishing trip on a calm western river. I found the motion in the water to cause gentle abstract rippled shapes from the reflection of the clouds to be intriguing and rich in color. Most of my work comes from things I have seen and places I had been
