I carve my design into the block’s surface, one block for each color.  The block is inked and each color is printed separately to develop the complete image

It was a spring afternoon when I thought I would paint out in the Snowy Range Mountains west of Laramie WY but the clouds rolled in, rain was eminent.  Instead of painting I used the “Cold Afternoon” as a basis for this print
