There is something very special about fall in the mountains, especially in an aspen grove. Under their golden shade, the world truly feels a different place. This painting is inspired by a particular hike I took in Vedauwoo on September 30th. The aspens themselves and the plants in the understory, were in the midst of changing, producing every leaf color from deep green, bright buttery yellow, fiery orange and deep reddish maroon. plants n this painting include aspen branches, bromegrass, creeping juniper, harebell flowers, rose hips, and Rocky Mountain Maple shrub
