The summer of 2023 was one for the books - the spring and early summer saw abundant rainfall, and so it seemed that every hillside was awash in color from a billion wildflowers. This painting is a collection of purple and yellow flowers that covered the lower elevations of the Laramie Range, in open and shaded areas around 8,000 feet. The bouquet includes plants flowering in May and June - silky phacelia, penstemon, heartleaf arnica, pasqueflower, and spearwort
