(Sgrafitto is an Italian word meaning "to scratch". This is a ceramic decorating method that included applying a coat of colored slip to a leather-hard vessel and scratching through the slip to reveal the clay color below. The artist will create contrasting images, patterns and textures using this method)

This little planter does not have a drain hole in the bottom and would work great for a succulent, or could be used as a small catch-all dish
